Rough Week

This week has by far been the roughest week so far. I am sure for a variety of different reasons, mostly due to the fact that i taught this week more then any of the other weeks. A couple of other things that have added to a rough week is a lesson that did not go as the master teacher had wanted on Friday. Although my partner and myself thought it was going well, it apparently was not as the master teacher had to interrupt twice and then take over the entire lesson altogether. Although that was not a great experience i did take a lot out of it.
Today i made an observation sheet for the rest of the teachers at our school site. The purpose of the sheet is for the other master teachers at the school to let us know when would be a good time to observe them in the next upcoming week. I am extremely to get to see other classrooms. There are so many things i want to see, such as how the other classrooms are setup, what their daily agendas are like, how successful the teachers are at behavioral management, what the different grades look like, etc. Most of all i am just really excited to observe how other teachers run their class and how they talk to both their students and their student teachers.
Another thing i am excited about is that i get to teach a lesson on social studies solo this week. i think it will go smoother then the last social studies lesson, because this time i am going to be teaching on my own so i can do my own pacing, and do what i want with the lesson. Not that teaching together has not been beneficial for Shannon and I but we talked and agreed that more practice teaching alone would me more beneficial, and that we could give each other feedback which we are not getting a lot of right now.

SO this week: observation sign-ups, and social studies lesson: hopefully it goes better then last week!!!
