End Of the First Week

This week has been a huge week for me. Not only am i exhausted, but i've already been sick, went through caffeine withdrawals, gotten stressed about traffic and have been confused about my scheduling- and it has only been three days! Although that sounded like a bad week, it has been a great week in my new profession. I have absolutely loved being around my second graders, they are all so funny and quirky in their own way, they make me laugh and smile all day. Today i was able to experience the chaos of yard duty, the wrath of math with a wide variety of abilities, and the lunch charge towards fast food. Everything I am learning from all the teachers surrounding me is very important and knowing the information that they discuss is pertinent in being successful with these children. Today after school i saw the response cards from last year and now really have an idea of where my kids are and where we need to get them. Together with my master teacher and student teacher partner, we have a lot to get done. This week, although exhausting was really insightful, exciting, and motivating. I can't wait for the rest of the year!!!
